‘Russell Coleman has dedicated his career to protecting Kentucky’
CRESTWOOD, Ky. (September 20, 2022) – U.S. Congressman Andy Barr announced he endorsed Russell Coleman for Kentucky Attorney General today. Congressman Barr, a conservative leader in Washington, knows Coleman is the right person to stand with law enforcement, protect Kentucky values and defend our communities.
“From his days as a law enforcement officer to his time as the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky, Russell Coleman has dedicated his career to protecting Kentucky,” said Congressman Andy Barr. “Russell is a champion for our great Kentucky law enforcement officers and will work tirelessly with them to ensure that our communities are safe. I am also confident that Russell Coleman will make the most of the powers of the office of Attorney General to push back against the Biden Administration’s unprecedented regulatory overreach, which has contributed to our historic inflation crisis and violated basic principles of federalism and administrative law. For these reasons and so many others, I enthusiastically and wholeheartedly endorse Russell Coleman to be the next Attorney General of Kentucky.”
Congressman Barr joins the growing list of more than 90 national and Kentucky officials who have joined Team Coleman. Last week, the Kentucky State Fraternal Order of Police announced the law enforcement group endorsed Coleman, making him the FOP’s only endorsement of a 2023 candidate this early in the campaign.
“I’m humbled to have the support of a proven fighter for Kentucky like Congressman Andy Barr,” said Russell Coleman, Republican candidate for Attorney General. “I look forward to working with Congressman Barr to Back the Blue, take on violent crime and stop the flow of deadly drugs into our communities from across the Southern Border. Together, we’ll defend our conservative values and keep Kentucky families safe.”
Coleman is the most qualified candidate ever to run for Kentucky Attorney General with experience as the top federal prosecutor for Western Kentucky, a volunteer state prosecutor and an FBI Special Agent.
“I’m proud to add more strong leaders to our campaign’s list of endorsements,” Coleman continued. “In the months ahead, I’ll continue traveling our Commonwealth to earn the support of families who want a safer and stronger Kentucky to call home.”
