‘Most of Any Republican AG Candidate by Filing Deadline in History’
CRESTWOOD, Ky. (Jan. 2, 2023) – Republican Attorney General candidate Russell Coleman announced today he has raised $611,145 since launching his campaign in May with $520,191 cash on hand. The campaign has raised more than any other Republican Attorney General candidate before the filing deadline in Kentucky history, according to data available from the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance.
Kentuckians continue to show overwhelming support for Coleman’s pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-police bid to be the Commonwealth’s chief law enforcement official. His experience as U.S. Attorney, volunteer state prosecutor and FBI Special Agent make Coleman the most qualified candidate ever to run to be Kentucky’s Attorney General.
“It’s a tremendous honor to have earned Kentuckians’ trust, from the grassroots Republicans to conservative leaders, as we run this campaign to protect families, support our law enforcement and uphold our conservative values,” said Coleman, Republican candidate for Attorney General. “Violent criminals and deadly drugs are invading our neighborhoods, and it’s critical to elect another strong conservative as Attorney General. I’ve spent my career locking up the worst of criminals, and I look forward to getting back into service.”
Coleman’s sustained financial strength—along with endorsements from more than 125 national and Kentucky law enforcement officials, prosecutors and conservative leaders—show that Republicans intend to keep the Attorney General’s office and build upon the Daniel Cameron’s record of success defending Kentucky families. His supporters include the Kentucky State Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), U.S. Senator Rand Paul and the Conservative Political Action Coalition (CPAC).
Coleman has already broken fundraising records, raising more in his first quarter than any Republican AG campaign in Kentucky history.
